Project Envision at a Glance

Project Envision is the forward-looking name given to a multi-phase strategic plan centered on the long-term financial security and sustainability of Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village. While the plan’s philosophy considers priorities and objectives for the next 20 years, the first phase is already well underway with construction of Village Square and the new Enhanced Living and Skilled Nursing neighborhoods. These priorities and objectives are rooted in our 120-year history of service, which reaches back to our founding as an outreach of the Brethren in Christ Church in 1896. Although Project Envision is forward-focused, phase 1 was launched in 2015 with many visible signs of progress – including a ceremonial groundbreaking, demolition and excavation of the Village Square site and much more.

Here are a few key objectives of Project Envision:

  • Reposition current skilled nursing neighborhoods to add much-needed private rooms and continue offering a home-like environment
  • Plan for product flexibility to adapt to future market changes; particularly the coming wave of baby boomers
  • Build a new wellness center and offer increased amenities
  • Increase residential living density
  • Maintain strong financial performance so that we can fulfill our mission
